This is an elutriated fine grain and firm red clay. As the heat resistance temperature is high, you can widely use from the biscuit firing (600℃ - 800℃) to the glost firing (1250℃).
The baked color varies depending on its firing temperature. Especially when using the reduction firing, the color becomes reddish black. If you Apply white clay slip when a work is half dried, scrape off the design, apply glaze after biscuit firing, then the work will be interesting one. It has good plasticity, you can easily make it from hand-making to wheel-molding, good all type clay. Firing depends on its work, but if you roast (about up to 400℃) for 4 - 5 hours and raise the temperature slowly, it won’t be cracked and distorted. Also, if you take the gas out at the stage, you can keep the kiln condition from being changed.
